We’re Finalists! We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve made it to the finals for the ‘Team Award’ in the Spark Business Hub Wairarapa Awards. The Team category is sponsored by Gibson Sheat Lawyers.
The Team award recognises businesses that put the wellness and well-being of their people at the forefront of what they do. The judges looked for businesses that look after the people that work for them.
MyTrucking is proud to employ exceptional well-being practices, providing both support and investment in our people.
Team Award Finalists: Our MyTrucking family
Family is one of our core values (alongside customers, simple and efficient). We know that the quality of our product, and our success, comes down to the people who work for us – our MyTrucking family!
In the past twelve months we’ve reached many milestones, including reaching 730+ customers, celebrating our 10-year anniversary, winning the Innovation Awards at the Wairarapa Business Awards, nominated for the Wellington Gold Awards – Technology Award, and expanding our operations by employing our first person in Australia in early 2024 (and soon to be two).
5 ways we look after our people:
- Celebrating success. Celebrating individual and team success is important to us. Every quarter we have a ‘Good Trucker’ award, which recognises a team member who demonstrates our core values (Customers, Simple, Efficient and Family). The nominations are from colleagues
- Team days. Our team days are fun! We do everything from clay shooting to winery tours, followed by dinner. Our last team day was a scavenger hunt. We also have Burger Fridays, team morning teas and anniversary celebrations.
- Professional development. We encourage professional growth and offer opportunities to upskill. Our team attend the latest conferences and events (in New Zealand and Australia) learning from the best in our industry! We love that our team can grow alongside our own business growth.
- Personal development and support. As we value family, we know life goes alongside work. We want to see our people thrive, both professionally and personally, and offer a wellbeing programme (with health and wellbeing support). Our people navigate life’s challenges, from grief to moving cities, so we know the importance of good support during these times.
- Employee NPS score of 7.4/10. This is considered excellent. The employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) is a simple way to track loyalty and pride for your organisation. It measures the likelihood of whether an employee would be willing to recommend your organisation as a good place to work and is an essential part of the Engagement Metrics in Workleap Officevibe (what we use to track and assess employee satisfaction and goals).
A massive thank you to our incredible team, sponsors and supporters of MyTrucking for helping us become Team Award Finalists. We’re looking forward to attending the Grand Finale Gala Dinner on 14 November at Matahiwi Winery.
