Morris Transport is a business built on reliability, service and customer contact.
Based in Larpent on the edge of Colac and the Otway Ranges in South West Victoria, they predominantly transport livestock, fodder and timber throughout Victoria and New South Wales.
Founded in 2011 when Owner Peter Morris bought his first cattle tray truck, it’s since blossomed into a 16-strong fleet of prime movers.
Morris Transport is owned and operated by Peter and his wife Christine. The duo take pride in their family business which has a strong focus on supporting their local community.
Morris Transport’s previous system was a fairly traditional system of phone calls, Google map drop pins and a microwave come letter box for paperwork transfers from drivers to office. While parts of the system worked well enough, they often had to deal with missing invoices, and time spent scrolling messages to find drop pins and they generally felt like they needed to streamline their systems to create efficiency for everyone.
“It was always just me and Peter getting all the information out to drivers and with three young daughters it meant we were always on our phones. We were really missing that job scheduling and pricing invoicing component and a place for drivers to leave everything.”
