We’re excited to announce a significant enhancement to MyTrucking with our new API integration capabilities.
Launched late last year, you now have the power to seamlessly connect your MyTrucking account with other systems. This connection allows you to effortlessly send and receive job data between MyTrucking and your internal systems or external providers.
It’s a dispatcher’s new best friend, but what exactly is an API?!
An API is a set of rules that enables different software applications to communicate and share data with each other.
In simple terms, it’s a way of getting information into software without manually adding it. A brilliant way of saving time. Essentially, the MyTrucking API integration is tailored to your unique business needs – and what you need it to achieve.
4 ways the API integration can help you
- Pull in Job Information – Connect your booking system and MyTrucking directly via the API, so no need to manually enter in jobs
- Push out Job Information – Collect POD information and send that to other software systems
- Connect to bespoke invoicing systems – if you have an invoicing system that we don’t have an out of the box integration with, you can now use the API to take job data out of MyTrucking and place into your accounting software
- Our API is customisable. There’s much more it can do!
An extra spring in their step! Making life easier in Victoria
Olinda, located in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria, Australia is the source of one of the world’s most pure and pristine spring waters. Our customer, Olinda Spring Water, delivers locally sourced spring water from these rangers, direct from the source to the customer.
We chatted to Daniella Muretic, Manager at Olinda Spring Water, about their experience of using an API with MyTrucking.
What did you use the API for and how has it helped?
“We use API to import orders directly from our website into unscheduled jobs in My Trucking. This allows our team to schedule the job by adding a delivery date and also check the products/ pricing prior to confirming with the customer. It has saved time and also reduces the risk of errors due to manual entry.”
How much time does this save you per week?
“API as an estimate would save 20% of time per week. We are still working on how we can streamline the process further, so it will be interesting to see how this will impact time”
Would you recommend other transport businesses use an API with MyTrucking?
“Yes! If you have an online ordering system, we would recommend you try API for automatic importing of orders.”
It is great to see the impact this API integration has had for Olinda Spring Water.
We also love that Olinda Spring Water value FAMILY, like we do. They pride themselves on being a family that looks after your family and their health. It’s meaningful to know MyTrucking can support their purpose – especially saving precious time for what matters most.
